Welligent is a cloud-based EHR platform with mobile apps, delivering smarter solutions to help clients document, track and schedule, as well as manage caseloads, billing and payment. When EDM Automation started working with them, Welligent had over 60 employees, maintained over 30 servers and services clients in over 30 states. They have since grown and are now part of the ContinuumCloud.

“I’m responsible for the communications of all our resources, customer communications, network connections, that we’re meeting security requirements, and we’re compliant with HIPPA and FERPA.
Essentially, the software we offer allows our clients to document, track and schedule, as well as manage caseloads, billing and payment. We’re on a pretty good growth trajectory at this point, and out of the 50 states, we’re probably in about 30 of them now.
We needed some help on the network end and were growing our system to a more organizational-wide, cloud-based solution. We outgrew the IT group we were with originally, needing more day-to-day help than what they were capable of putting together for us.
We decided on EDM Automation because it seemed like a really good fit. I’m happy with our decision because anytime I’ve needed more services or help, or additional complexity gets added to our organization, EDM has always been able to put those resources into place.
Security’s been huge for us and that’s been one of the big projects that we’ve been working on over the last year.
Everybody’s afraid of ransomware and malware getting on their computers, and we’ve gotten to the point now where some of the pieces that EDM has in place for us… Well, I’m not saying that it’s impossible, but I would suspect it’s impossible at this point for a bad player to do anything to any of our resources.
We’ve got encryption and we’ve locked down all the binaries, and the environment that we have is about as secure as you can have. Of course, there’s always somebody who finds a way around things, but I feel like it’s a really good solution, and I sleep a lot better. It makes me feel great.
All in all, EDM has helped Welligent with avoided downtime, increased efficiency, security, scalability and reliability. I trust in the judgement of the EDM team to put together cogent solutions for different problems that are popping up all the time.
I like the ease of use of some of the desk components, and I appreciate the breadth of knowledge they bring; if there’s an issue and they don’t know the answer, they’ll reach out to a connection they have and we’ll get the solution in place.
The other thing I depend on is the insight I get from them about the reliability of different products.
The EDM team is out in the field and will have worked on the products, so their feedback is important when I’m considering pushing any new solutions primetime. They’ve also saved us money; I don’t need a full-time staff doing what they’re doing, and we have a solution in place 24/7.
EDM is an excellent solution for fulfilling a medium-size business’s needs. They’re really good at putting together security solutions and getting interoperability between different systems in place, as well as proper solutions for integration across the cloud and the desktop.”
